Every passenger gets one small under-seat bag included in the fare. Additional cabin baggage or checked bags require an upgrade or extra fee, and costs vary depending on route and time of booking. Pro tip: pre-paying for bags when you book is much cheaper than adding them at the airport.

Basic fares are generally non-refundable, but Vueling offers optional “Flex Pack” add-ons that let you change flights without penalties (you just pay the fare difference). If you expect your schedule might change, adding Flex Pack upfront is usually worth it.

Standard seat selection comes with a fee, though the cost is modest compared to other carriers. Families traveling together should reserve in advance, since random seat assignment doesn’t guarantee seating side by side. Premium members sometimes get free seat selection.

Spanish nationals and EU citizens who reside in the Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Ceuta, or Melilla can qualify for up to 75% to 85% off the base fare for domestic flights. Large families (with three or more children) receive between 5% and 10% off, depending on size and residency. Proof of eligibility is required at check-in.

Yes, Vueling offers optional travel insurance during booking, and its “connecting flight guarantee” covers missed connections if you’re flying two segments with Vueling. This ensures you’re placed on the next available flight at no additional charge.

Vueling accepts major credit and debit cards, PayPal, and in some markets, Klarna for installment payments. Using Klarna lets you split your booking cost into interest-free payment; helpful if you’re juggling travel expenses.

Yes, Vueling Club members can earn and redeem Avios not only on flights but also on hotels, rental cars, and other partners across the IAG network (which includes Iberia and British Airways). For frequent flyers, this adds more value than Vueling-only redemptions.

Industry data and traveler chatter suggest January, February, and September tend to have the lowest fares, as they fall outside Europe’s peak holiday periods. Flash sales also pop up in July for last-minute summer travel.
