Tripadvisor promo codes & deals

Tripadvisor is a well-known online platform that helps vacationers, foodies and thrill seekers plan, book and make the most of their trips. But it’s more than that, too. From Las Vegas to Machu Picchu, it’s a trusted travel and adventure guide for all things to do, see and enjoy in each corner of the world – all according to the insights of fellow travelers and local explorers.

Setting Tripadvisor apart from other online booking agencies is its vast database of user-generated reviews, real-life photos from actual visitors, and recommendations on all the best hotels, restaurants, getaways and more. It’s the perfect setup to find hidden-gem vacation spots, authentic dining experiences and must-see attractions that turn trips into unforgettable experiences.

For most activities and experiences (“Things to Do”) booked through Tripadvisor, you can cancel within one day of the event for a full refund. However, cancellations and refunds are ultimately subject to the policies of the partner you book with. Some reservations or vacation packages are non-refundable or may only offer a credit. You can find complete cancellation and refund information for your activity, experience or rental venue in your booking confirmation.

Tripadvisor Plus is an exclusive program that offers travelers member-only savings at more than 100,000 hotels worldwide, 10% off all experiences, and other benefits. Membership costs $99 per year and auto-renews unless you cancel. New members can try Tripadvisor Plus risk-free and receive a full refund if they don’t make any bookings and cancel within 90 days.

For select tours and activities, Tripadvisor allows travelers to Reserve Now, Pay Later. This option allows you to book with no upfront payment. A credit card will be required to make the booking (with a one-time authorization), and full payment is usually due two to nine days before the travel or reservation date. For vacation rentals, the full balance or a deposit must be made at the time of booking.

Tripadvisor does not offer direct discounts on its website for special groups such as students and the military. However, the hotels, restaurants and activities listed on the site may offer such discounts when you book with them directly. Furthermore, Tripadvisor can help you find out which properties offer special discounts.

Most properties and venues on the Tripadvisor website have a landing page with general information and user reviews that can be helpful. Further down each page is a "Frequently Asked Questions" section, where you can find additional answers or ask your own questions. Answers to these questions are often provided by the property/venue owner or fellow Tripadvisor community members.
