This policy explains what DealSapien (“we”) collects when you use this website and what we do with it. We do not ask you to create an account and we do not sell personal information.
What we collect
- When you click through to a store: a random click ID, the page you clicked from, the referring page, your browser's user-agent string, your approximate country, and a one-way, salted hash of your IP address (not the address itself). The click ID is passed to the store's affiliate network so a commission can be matched to the click.
- When you answer “Did it work?”: your answer, the offer, the time, and the same salted IP hash, used only to count one answer per person per offer per day.
- When you share a coupon: the store, code and description you enter, and your email address if you choose to give it, used only to follow up about that coupon.
- When you join our email list: your email address, used only to send you deals. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can leave at any time.
Cookies
Our pages do not set cookies for visitors. When you click through to a store, that store and its affiliate network may set their own cookies on their sites to credit the referral; their privacy policies apply to those.
How long we keep it
We keep click and answer records only as long as we need them to reconcile commissions with affiliate networks and to keep offer quality figures accurate. Shared-coupon emails are used only to follow up about that coupon, and we delete any of this on request.
Who we share it with
Affiliate networks receive the click ID only. Our hosting and database providers process data on our behalf. We disclose information if the law requires it.
Your choices and rights
You can use the site without giving us any personal information. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA) you may ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to its use. Email hello@dealsapien.com with “Privacy” in the subject.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
